Thank You!

photo-9Thank you very much to everyone that showed up this past weekend and/or donated to PR for Pat!  We raised over $700 (not including any online donations), and at this writing the total fund is almost $6,000 beyond the goal!  It meant a lot to have so many of you there to take on Pat’s WOD.  It definitely felt like one that he would have brought and crushed.  It was also fitting and excellent to hit a short burner workout right after.  I’m very proud that we can use the strength of our community and fitness to support a friend.  Thank you.

I’m very excited to announce the 2014 Beantown Throwdown (our 3rd annual)! This year’s event will be on Sunday, September 21st. It’s an RX only competition for teams of 2 men, and 1 woman. Loading will be more or less classic CrossFit, and competence in gymnastics/bodyweight movements is recommended. Entry is $195 per team. All athletes will receive a t-shirt, with cash and prizes for the top teams, and a portion of every entry will be donated to PR for Pat. Space is limited, so to register, volunteer, or get more information please e-mail me (Eric).

    did two sets of sumo before bowing out cuz my back hurt. did 1 min plank holds instead with 1 min rest between sets

    WOD: 4+20 with 55#, 12kg, and dubs. Glad to be able to go overhead with little pain, but the KB swings weren’t so hot today. I also discovered this morning I have a REALLY hard time doing double unders while watching other people do double unders. I had to turn my back to everyone! So weird.

    Really disappointed with how much I stared at the bar on this one. My shoulders have really been feeling these last few workouts. Almost feels like I’ve been carrying full suitcases the past few days. Woof.
