Last time we did Fran I was in blue bands and 75#. I wrote on the blog, “One day I will get Fran RX but it isn’t going to be a day very soon. But one day. ”

Today was the day. 10:28 RX.

Realize its suppose to be a 5 min workout but still a place to start. Thrusters hurt but lost time mostly on pull-ups. Long arms don’t help but need to do more strict pull-ups to build stength.

Got 140# on snatch balance which is more than pr on snatch or oh squat to date. So maybe shoulder mobility is actually getting somewhere.

    SB: 185#
    Frantastic:
    8/1/11: 8:45 Rx
    10/28/11: 7:50 Rx
    3/1/13: 6:11 Rx
    7/22/13: 6:19 Rx
    1/31/14: 5:38 Rx

Felt good about the PR, but still think I can do better. Not going to try anytime soon though. Great work 5:30am!

Thanks to everyone for the blog love yesterday!

SB – 175# – I knew I was having an off morning when I failed at 135#, oh well.
Fran – 3:14 Rx – goal to go sub 3 the next time we do this. Need to work on getting round 15 and 9 of pull-ups unbroken.

    Nice work 5:30

SB 155# (missed the jump to 185# that Shorty nailed)
7:27 Rx – Got the first 21 thrusters unbroken because of a mandate from Joe. Thank you.
    Nice work 5:30

Snatch Balance: 85#. Not my best effort here today, but I could really use some focus here…

    Fran(barf)tastic:
    3/1/13: 7:20 Rx
    7/22/13: 7:40 Rx
    Today: 6:27 Rx.

YES FINALLY. I had a much better ‘tude today, and even the unbroken round of 21 didn’t suck as much as normal. Shouty to Eric for making us do all those rounds of 15 unbroken thrusters that I hate so much during comp class…

And, cheers for all the love yesterday. This community is the absolute best, I couldn’t imagine it any other way!

    Snatch Bal. = 45-75-95-105-115 ***PR

“Fran” = 5:56 w/ 65# and blue & red banded pull ups. First time with this, went light to see if I could go mostly unbroken on thrusters. Not too bad.

    Snatch balance: 85# PR

“Fran”: 6:21 with 55# and red band…. probably good suggestion from Eric to lighten the weight so I could do unbroken thrusters. New 2014 goal = Rx Fran. Damn kipping.

Also, belated s/o to Cal & Shorty. LOVE wodding with you guys, and so great to learn more about you on that blog. No idea you two were such puckheads.

Great job to everyone who PR’d this today!!!!
