Announcing the 2013 Beantown Throwdown!

I’m very excited to announce the 2013 Beantown Throwdown!  This year’s event will be held on Sunday, September 29th.  It will be an RX only competition for teams of 2 men, and 1 woman.  Loading will be classic CrossFit for the most part, and competence in gymnastics/bodyweight movements is recommended.  Entry is $150 per team.  All athletes will receive a t-shirt, and there will be prizes for the top teams.  To register, get more information, or volunteer (you will get a t-shirt too!) please e-mail Eric.

    Felt good during the squats (165#) but the WOD nearly killed me. Misread snatch as cleans at first. Someone has to teach me how to kip the pull-ups. Strict pull-ups are killing me. 12:59 with 75# and one red band. Nothing left in the tank Shane.

    It was a fun game of chase with Mandy Brown! Her pullups are quite good!

    Great class, Eric! After these past 3 days, shampooing hair and driving are tough!

    Trying to transition to an A.M. crossfitter, because I need more time for life.

    LBBS: 55kg, but they got heavy real fast.

    HBBS – 315# (GOOD GOD) Joe made me do it. I may have flipped him off when he suggested it, but I’m glad to have coaches like him and Sam to push me. Each rep of the last set was preceded by what felt like an hour long conversation with myself that changed in attitude and tone every time.

    WOD – 12:24 Rx. It felt like I was moving like an exhausted turtle.
