This Saturday, January 19th CrossFit New England is hosting the Competitors Competition. Erika, Stacey, and I are competing (you may have noticed an increased amount of free standing handstand push-up practice) in what look to be 6 heavy, technical, challenging events. I use the term “competing” fairly loosely for myself, I’ll be there participating, but really I’ve used this competition to drive my training over the last couple of months, and I’m already pretty pleased with the results. This weekend is a bonus.
Erika and Stacey will be a part of what is, in my opinion, the main event. The female field is very strong, and features 6 former individual games competitors. I expect both competition divisions to be great, but I’m really looking forward to seeing how the women perform and push each other.

Morning Basic Training Classes Available! Basic Training classes are now available Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:30 AM. These classes are geared towards folks new to CrossFit, and they’re a great way to get started in our program. If you are, or know someone interested in trying CrossFit, but maybe a little intimidated, there’s now an excellent option in the AM to get going.
The Performance Based Paleo Challenge begins Saturday, February 2nd with workouts at 11 AM. No need to register for the invasion session that day if you plan to participate in the challenge.
