Cassie is running the Boston Marathon this year with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training. In addition to her training she is raising $5,000 for the LLS, and we aim to help on all fronts.
The Leukemia and Lymphoma society is the world’s largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. The LLS mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provides free information and support services. You can learn more about the missions and goals of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society here, and about how donations are used here. This is Cassie’s personal fundraising page.
Cassie is hosting a party Thursday, January 17th up the road at the Cask ‘n Flagon. There will be music, food, and a raffle with prizes from local businesses. There will be a suggested $15 donation at the door, which will include 1 raffle ticket.
In case you can’t make it to the party we’re getting down CrossFit style here at CrossFit Fenway this Saturday, January 12th during the 11 AM invasion session. We’ve got a sort of marathon themed fundraising workout programmed with Cassie’s input (don’t worry, not too much running), and she’ll be here to accept donations. Donations of any size are helpful and greatly appreciated. We hope to see a lot of you there!
