235.8 Miles

October 7, 2012
By

The weather cooperated and the athletes from CrossFit Fenway running in the 2012 BAA Half Marathon had sunny, albeit chilly, great conditions on Sunday morning.  It was so good to see so many familiar faces out on the course, and awesome to see everyone smiling, and in good spirits after the race.  Between our crew running the half, plus Albert and Meghan running the Chicago Marathon, our community ran 235.8 miles on Sunday! (thanks for crunching the numbers, and being there Les)  I can’t wait to hear about everyone’s experiences and PRs.  Now sit back, relax, and enjoy one more perk of using CrossFit to train for endurance events, outstanding ability to recover.

    WOD – 5:53 @ 45kg

I wasn’t posting to the blog back in May but had my trusty wod app in full effect. Glad I did too, wouldn’t have realized the progress without it!

You runners are so impressive! Congrats on a fantastic weekend!

Erika and I baked up a paleo storm and enjoyed ourselves a “Yoga Fail.” It means showing up to yoga class too late and having the doors locked. Rejection is a terrible, terrible feeling. Happy to be back at the box and it was great to see some friendly faces (although I was asleep)…

    FS: 60kg
    WOD: 5:09 at 80kg

  10. Amanda l. on October 8, 2012 at 2:40 pm

Congrats to all the runners! I almost took Eric up on his offer of running…almost

FS: 40kg…did 4 at 50kg but that last one I was stuck no matter how hard everyone yelled

    WOD: 5:12 using 65kg
    May: 5:54 @ same weight.

I actually thought my May time was faster so I am really glad I decided to listen to my coaches and go for speed instead of strength….and I didn’t want to get yelled at for my rounded back.
