Beat the Streets Fundraiser

September 11, 2012
By

Mark your calenders CFF’ers because on Saturday, September 22nd, we are hosting Steve’s Club’s Beat the Streets Fundraiser! In case you aren’t familiar with Steve’s Club, they are the creators of those tasty paleo-kits in addition to being a national program for at-risk youth fitness.

If you are a CrossFit Fenway member, this will be a free class on Saturday the 22nd, replacing the invasion sessions and you can use all of your classes during the week prior if you like. Otherwise, anyone can participate! The suggested donation is $25, but any donation is appreciated. There are two ways to donate – go to our donation page if you can’t make it or want to donate early.

The second way is to donate at the door before the workout. We are accepting cash or checks made out to Steve’s Club National Program.

The fundraiser workout is…

In teams of 2:

AMRAP 10:
40 KB Swings (24kg/16kg)
30 Burpees
20 Pull-ups (Competitive: Chest to Bar Pull-ups, Social: Jumping Pull-ups)
10 Squats (Competitive: Front Squats 135#/95#, Social: Air Squats)

One person working at a time.  Score is total number of reps.

Contact me for more information, or if you are interested.  Be sure to include your team name, team members, and how you will be scaling. There are cool prizes from Steve’s Club for top teams in the “Competitive” division. This is a great cause and I hope you guys consider coming if not at least donating online.

Please help us Strengthen a Nation, One Kid at a Time.

Made my two goals today… 1 muscle up and 5 consecutive DUs (albeit quite possibly the most gimpy looking DUs in the history of DUs).

FS – 140kg felt great even after all the fun had this weekend.

WOD – 5:42 Rx The deadlifts went straight to the buttial area and trashed my double unders…lots of restarting.

glad to be back after 2 food filled days off!
