This weekend CrossFit Fenway has 4 athletes competing in the New England Firebreather Festival, hosted by CrossFit New England.  Mike Greiner, Kristin Pineo, James “Shorty” Schortemeyer, and Cal Sheedy are heading out to Natick this Saturday and Sunday, representing CFF, and giving it everything they’ve got.  I’ll be there both days, and it’d be awesome to see even more of our community out supporting our athletes.  Check out our competitors’ Saturday heat assignments below.

Those are two of the best pictures I’ve ever seen in the history of pictures. You’re going to rock it!

OK. So maybe a 20oz. bone-in ribeye with mashed potatoes wasn’t the best choice in preparation for the WOD this morning. Buy hey, it was my birthday.

    WOD: 17:52 @ 44kg

This has been of the toughest weeks for muscle recovery that I’ve ever had at CFF. Between the Curtis Ps on Tuesday, 105 kettle-bell swings and 150 sit ups on Wednesday, all the pull-ups and ring dips yesterday, and today’s 150 wall balls, My body is sore everywhere! Looking forward to some well needed recovery!

Best of luck to all the competitors this weekend. Last year’s Garage Games was my first experience with CrossFit Competition, and I absolutely LOVED it. I’m sure you guys will too! Be awesome! You guys will rock!

It was a light day, Mandy. I’m OK with this.

Good luck guys!! as if you haven’t had enough of me this week, now I grace you with the same post a year ago before I did my first individual competition. This is all about you out there…don’t let the cheering, comparing, and voices slow you down. I’m so excited for you guys!

First time I haven’t had an Rx next to my name in a while. This weight was definitely right for me, though. Any heavier and I would have gotten sloppy.

Best of luck this weekend! You’re all going to kick ass and look good doing it.

awesome game face, Cal (and Mike)! Good luck you guys!

My butt still hurts from Curtis P and my abs still hurt from sit-ups …

Crazy week – and I didn’t even come in every day!

Good luck to the Garage Gamers!!!!

    Karabel: 16:29 25kg/55# and 10# ball

Goal today was speed over strength, and considering my Rx Karen time was somewhere in the 16-minute range, I’d say I got some speed today with lighter weights.

Can’t wait for Garage Games! We’ve been getting our gear prepped and we’re picking up Mike’s mom from the airport. It’s going to be one helluva weekend!
