Scoring
At each of the first 3 events teams’ performances will be ranked and one point will be awarded per place (1 for 1st, 2 for 2nd, etc.).  The 8 teams with the lowest overall point totals will advance to the final workout, for which teams will be ranked and awarded 3 points per place (3 for 1st, 6 for 2nd, etc.).  The team with the lowest overall point total after the 4th event wins.

Event 1: Tag Team Fight Gone Bad
In this workout each member of the team will move through five stations one time each for one minute each.  There will be a one minute break between each athlete.  The stations are:

1. Wall Ball Shots (20#/14#)
2. Sumo Deadlift High-pull (75#/55#)
3. Box Jumps, 20″
4. Push Press (75#/55#)
5. Calorie Row

The clock does not reset or stop between exercises.  On the call of “rotate” the athlete must move to the next station immediately.  One point is given for each rep or calorie.  The team’s score for this workout is the total combined points from all three team members.

Event 2: Row ‘n’ Jerk
6 Minutes Team Max Meter Row
6 Minutes for each team member to establish a 1 Rep Max Squat Clean & Jerk

Teams will be given one rowing machine and one 45# barbell with 260# of bumper plates and collars.  During the first 6 minutes of the workout teams will work to accumulate as many meters as possible on the erg, dividing their time on the machine however they desire.

During the latter 6 minutes each member of the team will establish a 1 rep max squat clean and jerk.  Once the bar is loaded, collars are on, and the weight has been confirmed with the judge, the bar must be cleaned in one fluid motion from the ground to the front rack.  With the bar in this position the athlete must pass through a full squat, creases of their hips below their knees, and then put overhead.  The final position, constituting a good lift, is with the bar locked out overhead, knees, hips, and elbows fully extended, with feet on the same line, and at least a portion of the athlete’s ear covered by their arm.

The team’s score for this workout is the total meters rowed plus the pounds lifted in each team member’s best effort.

Event 3: Pesky Burpees
For Time:
90-60-30
Overhead Squats (95#/65#)
Pull-ups

All team members must perform 3 burpees each at the beginning of every minute before moving on to the barbell or pull-up bar.  The overhead squats and pull-ups may be partitioned among the team members as desired, but they must be completed in the listed order with one athlete working at a time.  If the call for burpees occurs during a repetition the athlete will complete their rep and then join their team in completing their 3 burpees.  There is an 18 minute cap.

Event 4: TBD
After the first 3 events the 8 teams with the lowest overall point totals will advance to the final workout, which will be revealed at that time. Teams will be ranked and awarded 3 points per place (3 for 1st, 6 for 2nd, etc.) in event 4.  The team with the lowest overall point total after this event wins.

Eric- you are looking freshly shaved in all these videos. Also, are you on a strength cycle? Or have you been seeing Ivan’s friend? You are looking huge.

    Getting excited for this Sunday.

    LBBS: 85kg
    WOD: 10:32 Rx
Burpees were too slow on this one. Also, need to figure out how to keep the T2B kip while tired. Welcome back Eric.

      Yeah, I second that!

LBBS: 70kg..almost ran out of time on this one. Abby and I like the chatting…and figuring out weights takes me some time. Thanks Eric for helping me finish! Thanks Abby for being an awesome partner :)

WOD: 12:14…20 of the toes to bar were “toes to bar,” the rest were some weird knees to elbows. I ate some chalk.

Miss you all already, especially you Erika Snyder with your cute little face (the still frame reminds me of when you were 3) please make sure Mandy eats all of her strawberries.

See you guys Sunday! It’s going to be AWESOME!

Brooke, you crushed that LIKE A BAWSE!!
As for the chatting, I actually thought we were more focused today than normal… figuring out weights proves to be difficult for me too, especially when you have to get creative with how you combine them

Strength: 55kg- down 5kg from a few weeks ago, but I fixed some things with my form

WOD: 11:21- I figured out how to not “crash the car”, but now I just need to scale more appropriately. Tomorrow is another day…

LBBS: 55kg – Did a 4th set at 50kg to work on technique when Erika noted that I was doing LBBS with the bar in the LB position and my feet in the HB position.

    WOD: 10:58

Ran to/from the box this morning. A nice warm up, and a nice cool down after that chipper. Going to do this again.

    LBBS: 90kg

WOD: 11:11 RX – first time sticking with T2B for the entire workout. Broken up a lot but tried to just keep going.

Tried to rush off to work without saying thanks to Erika! Shame on me. Erika, thanks for a great 6:30 class!!

    • Erika on August 7, 2012 at 10:41 am

I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF YOU HAD A GOOD TIME.

      good job, tim.

      • Mandy on August 7, 2012 at 1:02 pm

    LBBS – 140kg
    WOD – 9:32 Rx

    Nice work 5:30

  8. Shawn on August 7, 2012 at 10:05 am

    LBBS: 80 kg
    WOD 14:19

  9. Scott R on August 7, 2012 at 11:19 am

LBBS: 120kg – PR. FINALLY broke past 115kg where I’ve been stuck for months and months.
    WOD: 14:38 w/ 45# dumbbells. Most of the toes-to-bar were toes-near-bar or toes-over-bar. Maybe a flexibility issue?

By the way, LBBS with a sunburn on your back totally sucks.

  10. Mike G. on August 7, 2012 at 2:39 pm

LBBS – 150kg Thanks Joe for helping me nail this movement down a bit more.

WOD – 12:43 Rx Those G2OH dumbbells suck a big one. Picked up the last 12 T2Bs by doing 1 rep at a time which proved to be better than trying 2-3 per bar grab. Anyone wanna teach me how to kip these things?

    • Mike G. on August 7, 2012 at 2:41 pm

oh and check out my sweet cameo in the first video…credited as ‘guy getting lacrosse ball’. it’s a scene stealer i think.

  11. Dan P. on August 7, 2012 at 3:03 pm

LBBS: 122kg – Saw some gnarly stars after that weight.
    WOD: 12:00 Rx @ 45# DB’s (27% BW) – I really don’t like toes to bar.

  12. kk on August 7, 2012 at 4:14 pm

    LBBS: 90kg

WOD: 9:35 (subbed DB front squats for T2B due to small shoulder tweak)

  13. Rachel on August 7, 2012 at 8:01 pm

LBBS: 62 kg, a 5 rep PR! Thanks for the the tips and form corrections Sam!
WOD: 12:05 with 25# dumbbells and knees not quite to elbows.

  14. Adie on August 7, 2012 at 8:12 pm

    LBBS:75kg
WOD: 9:09 Rx @ 30# DB — definitely thought I could snatch them, but a very wobbly (failed) first rep switched me to C+J for the rest… next time!

  15. Tony on August 7, 2012 at 9:12 pm

LBBS: 124 KG – can finally squat what I can bench for 5 reps.
    WOD: 9:36 RX @ 45 #
