Happy Birthday Sam!

July 10, 2012
By

The onslaught of coaches birthdays continues Wednesday, and this time it’s Sam’s turn.  Sam asked for candy… meat candy.  Mandy’s already brought him a batch of bacon chocolate chip cookies, and Erika’s hoping (but not really in a nice way) that Sam gets his wish the same way she got hers.  Just give him all the bacon and eggs you have.  Happy Birthday Sam!

Sam – sorry I won’t be there for your birthday. I’m in California to attend the CF Games… but if I WAS going to be in town, I’d make you one of these:

    Happy birthday Sam!!

    Snatch Balance: 55kg
    WOD: 8:18 Rx.

I felt like Ricky Bobby (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nfv1FhdaBBk) in figuring out how to hold the KBs for the front squats. I had one 5 burpee penalty during the last round where I almost fell into the street. Great job 6am!

SB: did not participate – worked on OHS instead
WOD: 5:01 RX – tired and sore today, but took little to no rest in between rounds.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SAM! Let the celebration of bacon and eggs continue.

SB: 38 kg, big thanks to Mary for helping me! And for my sister who came over and said, “Now, why are you front squatting?”
WOD: 7:55, after nearly knocking myself out with the kettlebell, I went down in weight. I just wanted to be like Mandy.

A day where you’re not physically and mentally challenged and you’re not laughing at yourself (or tearing in the corner) is a day wasted in my book! Successful day!

  14. Stephen on July 12, 2012 at 11:45 am

SB: Did some weird combo of OHS and SB. Think from now on I need to just work on OHS.

    WOD: 7:13 w/ 35# DBs.
