Oakland SWAT Sergeant Daniel Sakai, age 35, was killed on March 21, 2009 in the line of duty along with fellow officers Sergeant Ervin Romans, Sergeant Mark Dunakin, and Officer John Hege. Daniel is survived by wife Jenni and daughter Jojiye.
A couple months ago I saw this video on the CrossFit Journal and found it very inspiring and motivational. It tells the story of Dylan, a CrossFitter at CrossFit Flagstaff and his experience with CrossFitting with cerebral palsy. In case you are needing an extra boost today just think of Dylan.

I think I benched 45 kilos…and someone just asked me what I bench too. Now I know.
WOD: 2+35 RX with the weight, not the pull ups…used a red and purple band for those. I don’t know which one I loathe more: pull ups or burpies. (Why can’t we ever substitute jumping jacks?…maybe I’ll start a small club ‘The Jumping Jackers’) Great working out with Kipping Kinshaw one last time!

I have not bench pressed in almost 2.5 years…well since I started xfit. Was able to put up BW (100kg) easily which was nice.
Hard to describe how much I did not want to get to the gym today…2+45 Rx weight & box but banded pull ups. Looking forward to much rest this weekend!

Major kudos to KP on her first official class as COACH KP! Bonus – the “junkyard dogs” in the warm-up = fun!
This was my first WOD with Rx pull-ups (and first WOD with rips – fortunately not too bad – but now I know I REALLY pushed it). I even didn’t count two where my chin didn’t get over the bar! I’m not sure how it happened, but at some point I tripped and fell into badassness (?) Hehe!
Really enjoyed today – nice job 5:30 – y’alls rock!
