CFF Persistence Hunters

July 2, 2012
By
Persistence hunting is a hunting technique in which hunters use a combination of running and tracking to pursue prey to the point of exhaustion.
-From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The idea of persistence hunting is pretty interesting to me, and I thought Sam could have some fun making persistence hunter artwork, so it’s what I’ve decided to nickname our endurance team.

Speaking of the CrossFit Fenway Endurance Team, if you aren’t already, it’s time to begin preparing for our fall race schedule.  First up on the list is the Wapack Trail Race on September 2nd, and it’s only $15 this year!  We’ve got a few athletes (including coaches Erika and Stacey) that are getting ready to take on this challenge.  Please contact me if you’re interested in training for and running this race, or any of the others we’ve decided to get after as a team.

Hi Amanda Rochelle Brown! AMAZING JOB! What are you talking about “keeping up with” me? I have to keep up with you!

      OHS: 37kg
      WOD: 21+1 RX

You all know how I feel about my sister. It’s no secret, but having her coach/stand behind me while I was overhead squatting helped me reach full depth. Had she not been there to say “good” I would have wobbled and most likely given up.

Must get knees to go higher next time…more efficient and less forearm pain.

Hope everyone has a happy and safe 4th! See you Thursday am for Stacey’s class!

OK, clearly I’m meant for MENSA. It’s 1+21.

The rope climbs gave me rope burn THROUGH MY SHOE. As always, the 6am class was a blast.

Shorts were a bad idea just like milk being a bad choice.

Additionally, while in Starbucks (working remote like a boss) sketchy dude was checking out my rope burns. Yea, that’s right. Once again, fantastic OHS form!

OHS: 27kg. I don’t know what happened…I went from only being able to do the 15kg bar to doing 5 reps of 27kg. I’m sure they weren’t pretty. This is my goat (well, one of them), so happy to be making some progress on it.

    WOD: 3 exactly, RX.
