Shout-outs are in order to the athletes listed below who set and achieved goals in June. If you also successfully reached a goal last month, but aren’t listed here, please post to comments, and be sure to put it on the board in future months.
- Beau strung together 20 consecutive double-unders
- Mandy got 2 ring dips
- Phil put together 10 kipping pull-ups
- Raffi completed his first muscle-up (Rumor has it there’s video evidence of this out there somewhere. Very cool.)
Congratulations to everyone that reached their goals in June. It’s interesting to note that all the athletes listed here had specific goals. Rather than just saying “I want to improve X”, they stated a specific task, and got after it. This is important to remember when stating goals for July. Make them specific and measurable, as well as challenging, yet attainable, and get to work.

Congrats to everyone who worked on their goal this month, even if you didn’t achieve it.
LBBS: 90kg (PR x5)
WOD: 15:24 Rx
Great job by the 6:30am!
So positive that Shorty! Let’s get new goals for July! Special shout out to Abbey who PR’ed her LBBS! GAME FACE.
LBBS: 70 kg (PRx5) …did 65 kg 5/1 so it’s time to keep it movin’
WOD: 17:42 RX …i just love resting in WODS.
Great work CFF!
Love seeing Mandy and Snackwell in the am, great coaching!
Aw! Thanks Brooke! Thanks for the encouragement =)
LBBS: 62kg… up from 55kg a few weeks ago
WOD: 22:30- I need to learn to pace myself better- I spent all of my energy on the weights… thanks to everyone in the 6:30 class for cheering me on- it really helped keep me going!!
Oh, and I didn’t write my June goal on the board, but I did achieve it-
My goal was to RX a workout and I ended up RX’ing 3!!
Looks like Beau also achieved his Invisible Front Squat goal!
My goal was One RX Per Week, but I missed the only RX-able workout in the second week. A very wise Crossfitter said, “Well I guess you’ll have to just do two next week.” I ended up RX-ing 8 workouts in June, having only RX-ed two or maybe three in the last year. This happened mainly because the 5:30 crowd and assorted coaches asked me almost every day, “Are you going to try to RX this one?” Thanks for the accountability! Now, onto July ….
YAY!! So proud of you for RX-ing so many workouts this month!!
Fantastic progress Cynthia! Congtrats on all the Rx’s! And yeah… I LOVE it when the coaches make you accountable, and push you to do more than you give yourself credit for being able to do. Nice job.
Starting to get used to seeing Cal & Shorty in the 6:30am class. Come to the dark side!
LBBS: 110kg
WOD: 19:47 Rx
Fun – but warm – morning at the box!
hahaha. the dark side, huh? that was my original crew before i switched to somerville!
LBBS: 57kg, which ties a PR. should’ve gone for 60kg — i’m SO bad at strategizing with only 3 sets.
wod: 18:37 Rx (25# dumbbells). this was a lot more difficult than i was expecting, and way more leg intensive than i thought it’d be.
LBBS – 140kg
WOD – 16:17 Rx – fell apart on round 3 and 4.
Nice work 7AM
LBBS: 85kg
WOD: 15:39 (RX)
hoooo’boy
Great job everyone! Thank you shorty for some perspective after today’s work out!
LBBS: 45kg
WOD: 16:03 (NOT Rx)
Congrats to everyone who achieved their goals.
LBBS: 47 kg… working on a better squat position
WOD: 19:12 @ 25lbs- not RX.. more taxing than it appears! :-)
LBBS: 50kg PR – really happy with finally getting into the 50′s and looking forward to getting to 60!
WOD: 20:01 (25lbs) – I wanted to go for Rx (30lbs each), but there were no 30′s left so I did 25 instead. Probably good cuz either the heat today or the 4 hours of marching I did yesterday did not help me move fast!
June goals – I haven’t tested Army-standard push-ups, but my chest-to-floor push-ups are coming along nicely :-D
Oh, btw if anyone was wondering, Army standard push-ups are somewhat easier than what we do. The upper arms have to be parallel to the back, not all the way to the floor. The reason that has been my goal instead of CF push-ups (or some other CF move that needs work) is because in 9 years in the Army I’ve never been able to do more than 36 (good, but not 100%) and I want to do 50 this year (100%)! Is gonna happen!
LBBS: 110 KG
WOD: 14:20 RX @ 45 #
congrats on all the goal achievement! setting a high bar for the everyone!
LBBS: 86 KG (getting back to where i was before injury–two thumbs up)
WOD: 16:05 RX @ 35#
LBBS: 62kg PR
WOD: 16:30 @25 kg, kept it light since I pulled my shoulder last Thursday.
And by 25 kg I mean 25#!!
SO HAPPY TO BE BACK! It’s been 6 long weeks.
LBBS: 70kg (mostly bc Joe paired me with Super Strong Becca, so I had to *try* to sorta keep up!)
WOD: 16:39 @ 20# Easing back in…starting with 50% of Rx this week and seeing how it goes.
LBBS: 85kg (5 rep PR)
WOD: 16:16 @ 25# (went light because I am nursing a shoulder injury: orthopedist Thursday!)
Good work, 7pm!
