Olympic Weightlifting Class! Beginning on Tuesday, January 31st CrossFit Fenway will be offering an Olympic Weightlifting class on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 6:30 PM. This class is dedicated to working on the Olympic lifts, the snatch and the clean & jerk, with an emphasis on drills and technique. It is included in your membership here at CrossFit Fenway, and athletes of all abilities are invited to participate. All you need to do is sign up!
Who Wants Wrist Wraps?! Several of you have asked the coaches about wrist wraps, or even borrowed a pair. I like them for near-max overhead lifts, and metcons with a lot of work overhead. If you’re interested in ordering a pair for yourself, or would like more information please contact Eric by Friday, February 10th.
Run with CFF! This Saturday, January 28th at 1:30 PM, we’re having our first meeting for the CrossFit Fenway Enduranct Team. All abilities are welcome and encouraged to participate. Please join us if you’re interested, or e-mail Eric if you can’t make it, and for more information.

Excited for oly classes!
I second that!
Instead of Nate, KP and I finally got around to doing our Paleo challenge workouts. Due to space considerations, we did them in reverse order:
DT – 9:35 @50kg
Rest 11 minutes
10 Minute Cindy – 5+11
Also, really enjoyed the bum contest between Stacey and Erika.
Woah! Just checked my DT time from a WOD that we did on July 8, 2011.
7/8/11 – 13:04 @50kg
I’ll take a 3:29 improvement, thank you! (and thanks to the coaches!)
NICELY DONE!!!
Nate: 9 rounds RX – thanks to Stacey and Erika for help with muscle-ups. And thanks to morning group for all that fun!
Nate: 7 rds RX
Muscle ups were bad form and I completely wore myself out because of that.
Handstand push ups were not too good, but then I found my kip and that made a world of difference. Last 3 rounds unbroken on these.
nice job with the muscle ups!
DT: 3+12 @ 35kg (Hey! Guess who sucks at hang power cleans??)
1/2 Cindy: 6+22 w/ 2reds and pushups from knees (boooooo)
My body feels like it’s been through a meat grinder…and not in a good way.
Modified Scaled WOD:
8 pushups
8 pullups
8 dips
500m row
4 + 20
YAY OLY CLASS!
3 rx with about 25 MU attempts. Not what I was hoping for, but its my first WOD with MUs so ill take it
1rd rx (my first muscle ups!!)
Then 5+1 of 8 pullups, 8 ringdips to sub for the muscle ups.
Great work 6pm!
