Everyday I consider myself very lucky and thankful to have the best job in the world, and to be part of an amazing, inspiring, encouraging community. I’m thankful for the opportunity to coach, work, and workout with great people. I’m thankful for my health, and to have a kind, caring, beautiful, very understanding, young woman supporting me.
Too often we focus on the negative and what could be. This is the season to be thankful for what we have. Take a moment to reflect on all that’s gone right, and been good this year. What are you thankful for?

Bench: 35kg, which was my 3 rep a few weeks ago. Got 40 for 2, so probably could have gone somewhere around 37-38. But felt better than last time (and felt progressively better each set), so I guess I’m finally starting to get the hang of it.

Not gonna lie- a 20″ box would have been much nicer. And/or a 14# ball.

I loved the WOD – Rx’d at 22:34 (I think it was that/roughly..).

Travel WOD update!
I did 12 rounds of hang power cleans with dumbbells at 25% bodyweight, 30 seconds on and 30 seconds of rest. And totally frightened the old guy who came into the fitness center when I want grunting through my 11th set. Then yoga, and now food.
Don’t forget to do your push-ups!

50 Thrusters (95#) for time: 10 minutes (I need people yelling at me apparently–go figure!).
Saturday WOD:
Version of the row/max rep pull-up: run a 1/4 mile, max rep pull-ups, repeat. AMRAP 20 min: 174 pull-ups.
whoops–I meant PUSH-UPS not PULL-UPS. DOH!
Today: ran 3 miles, then did sprint intervals for one more. In southwest Florida at 2pm – it was HOT.
LSD (Long Slow Distance) day — between 10.5 and 11 mi. This was my first small taste of what marathon training during the winter is going to be like…time to support the economy and buy some decent cold-weather gear.
Travel WODS:
Boths in strange DC locations.

- 1 lap around the National Cathedral Cathedral(my guess… ~400 meters)

I did this one at the Tindley Sport and Athletic Center in DC. I might have had a Kramer-esque incident with the swiftly spinning, low hanging ceiling fans and my jump rope.
