In my opinion Eva is one of the toughest girls.  She’s like Helen (which I really like), but with more volume, and more weight.  Think about it, 2.5 miles of running, 150 heavy kettlebell swings, and 150 pull-ups.  Sure it’s for time, but just being able to complete Eva deserves at least a small badge of honor.  On second thought, don’t think about it, just do it.

July 9th, 2010

WOD: Eva

Complete 5 rounds for time of:
800m Run
30 Kettlebell swings (32kg/24kg)
30 Pull-ups

Acupuncture is now available at CrossFit Fenway!  Anna Israel, who many of you already know from class, will be treating CrossFitters and outside patients on Wednesdays from 2 PM to 6 PM.  Anna’s offering a free introductory half hour session for those who want to learn more, but may be a bit apprehensive.  Please contact her for scheduling and more information.

The Sox are out of town until after the All-Star Game, so parking is available all day Friday, and will be available throughout the week.

This brought a grin to my face…can’t wait for 6pm. I heart Friday WODs!

Eva, you are a brutal girl.

Finished 4 rounds in 41:15 (purple band, 1 pood KB). I could have done the 5th round, but it likely would have taken a good 20 minutes on its own. Arms were completely gassed.

Wimpering in the parking lot during KB swings aside…great WOD :-)

Attempted as Rx, completed 4 rounds in the time limit (44:07)

Once again, the pull-ups were the limiting factor for me. I was torn open by round 2, and it was slow going from there. My new goal: correct my pull-up grip and form so as to minimize tears. It would be really nice to be able to wash my hands again without pain.

Man was this a tough one! Have I mentioned that I suck at running? 44mins and change but only 4 rounds…..24kg and no bands….I think pull-ups were the only thing that I was half way decent at!

Why am I excited about my first torn calluses!?!? My favorite part of today was when I showed Eric, who just shrugged and said “Finish it!” Despite the injury, work did not let me call in sick… DARN!

    5 rounds @ 46:17 scaled (12kg, purple & red)

Wow… my first group working at CFF. It’s been over 24 hours and I’m still sore as hell. Hated every minute of it – in a good way.
