Tuesday we snatched, and had kettlebell swings as part of our conditioning. Wednesday we’ll be working on the clean. All of these are hip driven dynamic movements, in which the arms should only act as straps, holding onto the object upon which force is being applied. Powerful hip extension is key to elite athleticism, and the primary driver of the clean. The more upward momentum you can give the barbell through hip extension the easier it will be to get under the weight and successfully execute the clean. Keep this in mind as you’re trying to put up a PR tomorrow.
