Hang Power Snatch

March 8, 2010
By

This week we’re continuing our work on the world’s fastest lift, the snatch.  Last week we practiced the Burgener Warm-up with PVC, getting ready to snatch.  This week the goal is to take what we’ve learned working with PVC on the parts and pieces of the snatch, and move on to developing a complete hang power snatch with a barbell.  The snatch is complicated, so we’re not trying to load up a bar, grip it, and rip it.  You need to take your time with the snatch, and when you come in this week you’ll have a chance to work on this very technical movement.

    What an awesome morning!!!

135kg on the deadlift with pretty decent form and my first ever clapping push-ups.

I never (ever) in a million years would have dreamed I would be able to do a clapping push up, let alone stringing together 20 (before having to revert to standard push ups) . . . and that’s after only 7 weeks of CFF! SO HAPPY!!! :)

16:10 (90 single unders, mixed clapping/std push ups)

Have a great day all and 5:30, I’ll see ya’ll tomorrow.
